Another season has passed with much success! Saturday, Aug 3 2013

We have just finished up another fabulous season of Abbadia Mare Renaissance Festival, and we have to say it was a grand success!

Saturday, the weather was a bit hot but perfect!  The crowds were enjoying every bit of the magic of the Castle and of the Faire itself!

Sunday, it looked a little rainy and foggy out, but the weather held out for us (I personally think that singing “Here comes the Sun” with Misfits of Avalon in the Great Hall helped!) – and we had a pretty good crowd that day as well!

Even with the few mishaps and accidents that occurred, everyone is now okay and is healing in some way or another.  Even without the ATM being present (yeah, sorry about that, there was nothing I could do, but I promise you all that this will be the last time we deal with that company), a few of the performers informed me that they made tips!  I even saw one in process of a nice lady handing Rufus a dollar!  (Yes, Rufus, the mud beggar – really!)

With the help of some of our crew, we ended up getting some WiFi access to the Castle so that merchants could attempt getting a signal to charge credit cards, and we think it worked (well, when it did work).

We had some brand new volunteers this year, and they did a wonderful job of helping schlep a lot of the merchants heavy stuff inside, outside and through those treacherous stairs!

Of course, ALL of our cast and crew is just amazing, and we can’t thank them enough for all their hard work and dedication to help us with this event!  You know who you all are, but I’ll say it again, THEY ROCK!

Thank you for those of you who came out to our little event, we certainly hope you had a great time, and we’ll be posting hopefully soon to let you all know the results!

In the meantime, Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again!
